Initial desire, in retrospect taught me a lesson having an effect

And it was fine, that plans had changed,
the feelings in my heart could rearrange

When life gives you lemons they say make lemonade, but I need
something stronger to make these feelings fade
So I will take those lemons and add them to my gin, give me two or
three and the healing can begin
Or give me whiskey with a lemon slice,
One or two and everything starts feelin' nice
We've done this once, and now we’re doin’ it twice,
Will things start to change, or am I just your vice

There is a lesson that I have learned,
Don't put your all into something that’s not earned
Cuz life is short and things are instant,
Live for yourself don't keep friends at a distance
Plans are only tentative and that’s a fact,

Looking forward only brings you back,
Live in the now, don't let yourself retract

The matter is, is I'm okay;
