Living For Today
Music & Lyrics by Bailey Ann Martinet

I am the ocean
Moon rules my tide
Take a sip of that potion
Lets take a ride
Past the worry and past all the pain,
Lettin’ go of self doubt, never feelin’ disdain
No use lookin’ back at yesterday
If it’s heavy on your heart and brings nothin’ but dismay
Never know what that future may hold
Time to let the present unfold
Cuz there’s always blue skies
behind the gray,
spirits light when we
live for today.
Ain’t nothing can bring you down
When you let your heart surround
Your every move
Got that choice of what we exude
Cuz there’s always blue skies
behind the gray,
spirits light when we
live for today.
Now we listen, the truth is simple
We’re from the stars and our body is our temple
Not to define you nor I, in disguise – we’re all just light
Cuz there’s always blue skies
behind the gray,
spirits light when we
live for today.
Only want to speak with integrity
When I’m true to my word, my world is true to me
Movin’ in creative waves, it’s the love that saves
It’s that looooove, that saves, that loooove, that saves

Lemonaid

East was where I was gonna make my way,
hands in the air my plans started to fray
Thunderstorms were a coming, and I was really bumming
Happened for a reason, thought the gods were a teasin’
A chance to move my feet round and round to a grooving beat
But times have changed that sound
Initial desire, in retrospect taught me a lesson having an effect
For the best I knew, confirmed by you, when you left me in the blue
And it was fine, that plans had changed,
the feelings in my heart could rearrange
But what I feel and how I saw you,
as a matter of fact, it’s in the same hue
Don't need your all, but the promises you make,
Cuz I know together these feelings can't be faked.
I dig your vibe, and you dig mine,
Let's let it be and everything'll be just fine.
When life gives you lemons they say make lemonade, but I need
something stronger to make these feelings fade
So I will take those lemons and add them to my gin, give me two or
three and the healing can begin
Or give me whiskey with a lemon slice,
One or two and everything starts feelin' nice
We've done this once, and now we’re doin’ it twice,
Will things start to change, or am I just your vice
Don't need your all, but the promises you make,
Cuz I know together these feelings can't be faked.
I dig your vibe, and you dig mine,
Let's let it be and everything'll be just fine.
There is a lesson that I have learned,
Don't put your all into something that’s not earned
Cuz life is short and things are instant,
Live for yourself don't keep friends at a distance
Plans are only tentative and that’s a fact,
You could be playing cards with a deck that's stacked
Looking forward only brings you back,
Live in the now, don't let yourself retract
The matter is, is I'm okay;
knowing what's forever keeps the anguish at bay
And it's just that, all for nothing;
friends are forever and the other's just a something
Well we're here, and the time is now,
so lets twist, and turn, and dance about
Don't need your all, but the promises you make,
cuz I know together these feelings can't be faked.
I dig your vibe, and you dig mine,
Let's let it be and everything'll be just fine.

I’ll Be True
Music & Lyrics by Bailey Ann Martinet

Well I can’t seem to remember
What troubled me yesterday
All I feel is the love as my pain drifts away
My cloudy sight is clearing
The weight is off my chest
It is that love that takes me to the home that I know best
So darlin’ I’ll be true
Cuz all I need is you
Reflecting something special
I feel it in my bones
Thru trials and tribulations
Not afraid of sticks and stones
Cuz names will not define me
No pressure for the fame
My spirit sings inside me- fueling acclaim
So darlin’ I’ll be true
Cuz all I need is you
Love is quintessential, livin’ rooted with the sea
Alignment in potential- the higher self agrees
The heart is fundamental; its blaze ignites the spark
One with our power, acknowledging the dark
Let’s come together accepting as we be
Our self is ample in the mission to believe
Life is for making, to enjoy, and to see thru
Strife is mistaking a lack in our hue
So darlin’ I’ll be true
Cuz all I need is you
Celebrate the union of the shadow and the frame
There’s beauty in the shatter of the walls we hold with blame
So darlin’ I’ll be true
Cuz all I need is you
Radical acceptance of the self and all its worth
To be the mystic, intent is the birth
So darlin’ I’ll be true
Cuz all I need is you

Up in Smoke
Music & Lyrics by Bailey Ann Martinet
©2018 Ruby Flambé
Something about you captivates me
But it only takes a breeze to feel what I see
Deception is a dangerous game
You are the storm before the flame
How do you carry all you’re taking for a ride?
Seems something scary- holding so much pride
You use your lack of words to maim
And say it’s your mind to blame
Will we go up in smoke or will the beast be tamed?
Will we go up in smoke or will the beast be tamed?
Find a sense of satisfaction
Getting a rise out of your distraction
Lost in your own game
Do you want the players to remain?
Will we go up in smoke or will the beast be tamed?
Will we go up in smoke?
Will we go up in smoke?
Will we go up in smoke?
I know you are lost, not caring to be found
But I feel your pain and I hear your sound
I know you are lost, not caring to be found
But I feel your pain and I hear your sound
In the night, it’s though we have given it name
But in the morning, it’s all back to the same
Will we go up in smoke?
And will the beast be blamed?

Weave
Lyrics by Bailey Ann Martinet
Music by Bob Paltrow

We are thirsty, in our time and space
Need some magic to quench, to taste
Its all around, making it known
Thru heart sounds, we watch it grow
Gotta weave, weave, weave the web, a safety to fall
Wanna save you, not enslave you
With the sunshine on our side
Just a breath before we take our ride
Gotta weave, weave, weave the web, a safety to fall
Please believe before we hit the wall
Gotta weave, weave, weave the web, a safety to fall
Please believe- let’s make the call
Feeling the beam, a connection steam
Living the dream, assembling our team
Light meets light, no need to fight, we can feel, we can feel alright
Gotta weave, weave, weave the web, a safety to fall
Please believe before we hit the wall
Gotta weave, weave, weave the web, a safety to fall
Please believe- let’s make the call
Ebb and flow, we already know, under toe,
The current swell we are in
High tide for the ride,
Careful not to crash as we spin, as we spin, as we spin
Gotta weave, weave, weave the web, a safety to fall
Please believe before we hit the wall
Gotta weave, weave, weave the web, a safety to fall
Please believe- let’s make the call

Hot & Cold
Music & Lyrics by Bailey Ann Martinet

Came from the deepest blue
Into the dirt he flew
Was a master of disguise
explains the ease of his lies
To believe is to let your self go
To believe’s to put your heart in the road
There is more to what seems
When a man holds both extremes
Well he was hot and cold; he was hot and cold
A man of cards I do fold
Didn’t know what to look for
Didn’t know what I could see
I needed a light, to accompany me
Colors are different in the shadows, luster leaks from below
Cloud of illusion, shade from the sky
A weight that inspires a feeling to fly
Well he was covered in darkness; hunting like a hound
Covered in darkness, haunted by his sound
Covered in darkness; hunting like a hound
Covered in darkness, haunted by his sound
Well he was hot and he was cold
Covered in darkness
He was hot and he was cold
A man of cards I do fold

Likeminded
Music & Lyrics by Bailey Ann Martinet

Waiting, contemplating for the real, and while I’m patient I start to feel
Listening to the sounds surround, listen to the thoughts abound
The faux fleeting heart speaking
In search to take a perch
On those eyes who listen and those ears that breath in
Respect their own truth always sharing their roots
Smiles treating and love heating
Laid out on the a blanket of earth, the above looks down as we look forth
Pause in the moment reflect on the sun, relinquish as one
The likeminded, together we will find it
The fields of green illuminate absence of the scene
We feel deep it in our bones, a feeling we have honed
Embracing like bees, at one with the trees
Laid out on the a blanket of earth, the above looks down as we look forth
Pause in the moment reflect on the sun, relinquish as one
The likeminded, together we will find it
The likeminded, together we will find it
The likeminded, together we will find it
Have faith in what we see
With our ears we can be free,
Free to be you and me,
The like minded let’s believe, let’s believe

Land of Everlasting Love
Lyrics by Bob Paltrow
Music by Bailey Ann Martinet

Somehow I lost- all my baggage, moving to another state of mind
All the roads that led to nowhere converging at the boarder line
And as we cross, this threshold darling
Now is as good as anytime to say
Book me a one way ticket baby
To the land of everlasting love
Book me a ticket, book me a ticket- to the land of everlasting love
Book me a ticket, book me a ticket- to the land of everlasting love
The tender touch of your love, takes me to the only place I’d rather be
Nestled in a world where good hearts gather- to the land of everlasting love
Book me a ticket, book me a ticket- to the land of everlasting love
Book me a ticket, book me a ticket- to the land of everlasting love
Book me a ticket, book me a ticket- to the land of everlasting love
Book me a ticket, book me a ticket- to the land of everlasting love
Somehow I lost- all my baggage, moving to another state of mind
All the roads that led to nowhere converging at the boarder line
And as we cross, this threshold darling
Now is as good as anytime to say
Book me a one way ticket baby
To the land of everlasting love
To the land of everlasting love
To the land of everlasting love

Wicked
Music & Lyrics by Bailey Ann Martinet

Just one more, let me take it to my core.
Just one more, can it ever be like it was before?
Just one more, let me break on through the door.
Just one more, let me elevate and soar.
There’s a place I want to be, so close to taste what I see.
As our senses melt away, the wicked comes out to play.
As our senses melt away, the wicked comes out to play.
Seein’ it from a birds eye view, helps me slip from my blues.
Just one more, just one more, just one more
Can it ever be like it was before?
Just one more, let me elevate and soar.
There’s a place I want to be, so close to taste what I see.
As our senses melt away, the wicked comes out to play.
As our senses melt away, the wicked comes out to play.

St. James Infirmary Blues
It was down in old Joe’s barroom,
on the corner by the square
the usual crowd was assembled
big Joe Mckinney was there.
He was standing at my shoulder
his eyes were blood shot red,
he turned to the crowd
around him and these were the very words he said.
I went down to St. James Infirmary
I saw my baby there
she laid out on a cold white table,
so cold, so white, so fair.
Let her go, let her go God bless her,
wherever she may be
She may search this whole wide world over,
but she’ll never find a greater man than me
There were 16 snow white horses
hitched to a rubber tired hack
It was only 5 miles to the grave yard,
but my baby ain’t ever coming back
I may die over the ocean,
I may get killed by a cannon ball
But you can bet your last wooden knuckle,
twas a woman who casued it all
When I die, when I die, burry me
in my wide brim Stetson hat
Put two gold pieces over my eyelids
so the lord will know I died standing pat
I was 6 crap shooters for pall bearers,
6 chorus girls to sing me a song
Put old Dixie jazz band on my hearse wagon
to raise hell as I roll along
And there he finished his sad story,
and took another shot of booze,
Said that if anybody asks what killed him,
it was the St. James Infirmary blues,
it was the St. James Infirmary blues,
it was the St. James infirmary blues
